Yahweh’s “New Thing”

[from journal entry, 7/20/2003]

“I will do a new thing,” says the Spirit (Isa. 43:19). At the beginning of every new major movement of God in this earth, God has appeared to a person or persons, chosen only by God Himself. All through scripture, God has literally come down in His human form and has stood and spoken to man.

He has appeared unto one of His elect and has manifested Himself to him; He has revealed himself intimately to chosen vessels. We call them prophets and apostles. God has used these elect, these chosen ones, to speak through down through history. He would fill them with the sight and sound of Him and detail it in a vision to them.

At these appearances, the patriarchs and prophets at first were dumbfounded. In many instances.  they thought that they had died–so great was the glory of God manifested to them. They would be struck dumb, blind, and, in general, they would experience a life-changing event. They had seen and heard Him! These revelations propelled them on to fulfill their ministry for that time. First, God got their attention by the revelation of his glory to them. Then He would relate to them what He wanted done or said.

Yahweh Always Does It This Way

Should we believe that He would do His end time movement any other way? He said that He was the same “yesterday, today and forever” and “I change not…” (Heb. 13:8; Mal. 3:6). He will move the same way as He did through thousands of years; He will appear to those He chooses to do His work in the earth.

From the Garden of Eden to this very day, Yahweh has made a special visitation to the remnant of His people. He gives them power and encouragement through His presence in their lives. All the major players in the Bible have received a supernatural visit from Him. I believe that this is the reason that they and their stories grace the pages of the Bible. His appearances bolstered their faith to accomplish the tasks that He would have them do.

Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, Joseph, Moses, Gideon, and David, and all the prophets—all were visited by our Creator. They heard His voice and saw His form. The apostles walked with Him daily for three and one-half years, and He appeared to Paul several times (I Cor. 15:3-8; Gal. 1:11-12).

Moses

Take Moses, for example. He waited in the desert tending flocks, waiting and waiting for forty years after His expulsion from Egypt [see the Book of Jasher]. And then it happened—the burning bush and the voice of God calling him to the work ahead. Later, Yahweh spoke with Moses “face to face” along with seventy elders of Israel who “saw the God of Israel. Under His feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself” (Ex. 24:10 NIV; Ex. 33:11). Who was this form? Who was this God that came down and visited the men of the nation of Israel/Twelve Tribes? The Father is an invisible Spirit, so the form that appeared to them must be who? [Tell me your thoughts in the comment section.]

All these men and women in the past laid up spiritual treasures of wisdom and knowledge for us.  Even greater exploits are awaiting our slumbering faith as we begin to open our eyes and see that “that which has been is now, and that which is to be has already been, and God requires that which is past” (Ecc. 3:15).

Yahweh is doing a “new thing” in the earth. Appearing to one person is not new. The new thing is this: He will appear to thousands of His followers, thus, empowering them to preach the everlasting gospel of the Kingdom of God before the Great Tribulation begins in earnest. He always sent a warning to the people through His prophets/mouthpieces. He will come to His first-fruit company of thousands of sons and daughters.

Christ said that we would do “greater works” than what He and the apostles did. I believe that Yah will make appearances to His elect, not just one or two at a time, but thousands during our era of the “latter rain.” How else are we to get on the same page? How else will we be loosed from the sullen chains of doubt? Yahweh is coming to His elect.

Yet the doubters say that no one can be like the early apostles, much less like Christ. Doubt is sown from the pulpits. This unbelief stymies spiritual growth. Don’t listen to them. They will harm you in your walk with God.

The Spirit is still crying, “Come out from among them” and purge out the old leaven teachings soaked with falsehoods about Yahshua, the Anointed One—if we desire to be visited by our Maker and be a part of the greatest move in the history of this blood-soaked earth. Yes, Yahweh is doing a “new thing.” That we all may be one…

The “Sure Foundation”–The True Christ

The sons and daughters of God need a “sure foundation” upon which to build their new spiritual life. They need a foundation that is sure and steady. And, of course, we know that the sure foundation is Christ.

But it must be the true Christ and His vision for the world. For many teach a false Christ based on their imaginations as to who Christ is. And therein lies the problem. Many talk about Christ, but few have met Him at His special meeting place–the cross. Few speak of their own cross experience in their testimony. Their pastor would not dare lead them to the old rugged instrument that puts to death their sinful heart. They teach a soft Christ, a feel-good Christ, a different Christ than what the apostles wrote about in the Scriptures.

Dare I say it? The hireling pastors teach false doctrines about the entity they call Christ. They do not know that this meeting place is where their old sinful lives have perished with Him on the cross. Few want to go there. Few speak of their spiritual death with Christ. Few are buried with Him. But a few “are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised Him from the dead.” (Col. 2:11; Romans 6:1-12).

The apostles and Christ Himself warn us about false Christs in many passages of scripture. They teach a rapture and an escape from the tribulation. They say that they have made an agreement, that they will be spared when disaster strikes. They believe that they will be mystically delivered from the horrors coming upon this world (Isaiah 28:15).

But God calls this “believing a lie.” Instead, the Spirit through Isaiah says, “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed” (verse 16).

And then He slams the lid on those who trusted in the erroneous false doctrine of the rapture: “Your agreement with death [that you will be spared] will be annulled…When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it.” The disaster is likened to what God did at Mount Perazim and at the Valley of Gibeon. He rained down meteorites upon them. And he will do it again through the trumpets and vials of wrath in Revelation (I Chronicles 14:10-11; Joshua 10:10). David and Joshua had Christ as their “sure foundation.”

Now we, like them, are “lively stones,” a part of Him, and He in us. A huge part of Christ’s foundation is having the true knowledge of His purpose and His plan to fulfill it. His purpose is to reproduce Himself, for He is agape Love. And He has a plan to do that. His purpose and plan are sure; nothing can prevent Him from carrying out His plan. Our part is to surrender to Him and learn of His purpose and plan.

Two Outpourings of the Spirit—One “Good,” One “Bad”

[Continued from 4-5-22]

In the dream, the Voice coming through my mouth shouted, “I will pour My Spirit upon all flesh! UPON ALL FLESH! Through study, I discovered that the Spirit at Pentecost was not poured out on “all flesh” present that day in Jerusalem. It was only poured out on His servants and handmaidens, the disciples of that era. Here the scene is painted (Joel 2:28-32; Acts 2:17-21).

Both renditions contain two different and distinct visions of how the Spirit will be poured out. In Joel 2:28-29 and Acts 2:17-18 we see the blessed outpouring on His servants. Reading on in the very next verses, we see another kind of outpouring. Yahweh says, “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD [Yahweh] come” (Joel 2:30-31).

That day will not be nice day for many. In both prophetic passages, there are two vastly different outpourings. The first section reveals the baptism of the Holy Spirit that will take place during the “time of the end.” The second part of that prophetical flow reveals a pouring out of natural disasters and “acts of God,” a day of gloom and terror (Joel 2: 30- 31). This day of terror is when Yahweh has His angel pour out the vials of wrath. This shows us that both the latter day pouring forth of the Spirit and the pouring out of the vials of wrath happen at basically the same time in history—our time. The Upper Room pouring out of the Spirit was a type and shadow of what will take place on the earth at the beginning of “the time of the end” (Dan. 12:1). We are living in that time.

Christ warns us of that time (Matthew 24:15, 21- 22, 29). The pouring out of His Spirit that brings power from on high happens first. But not every human being will be so blessed.

But Joel, right after the first outpouring of His Spirit, speaks of a universal scourge. Christ calls it the pouring forth of the vials of wrath. How ghastly that will be for all the inhabitants of the earth. For all will see the sun “turned to darkness before the great and terrible day of the LORD  come.”

Some will say that the outpouring can only mean the baptism of the Holy Spirit like on the day of Pentecost. However, the scriptures are very clear that “all things are of God” (2 Cor. 5:18). And because “God is a Spirit,” then “all things are of the Spirit” (John 4:24). Even the pouring forth of the wrath of God upon all flesh [except those spared for the elect’s sake]. Yes, the elect, the sons and daughters of God will be on earth during tribulation.

He says, “Pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.” After all seven vials are poured out, “a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne [said], It is done” (Rev. 16:1. 17). This pouring out of God’s wrath is heavy stuff. It is the destruction of the world system, including the Battle of Armageddon (v. 16). This is major end time misery for mankind and runs parallel with the outpouring of God’s Spirit upon His chosen ones.

The Former and Latter Rains

The pouring out of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost partially fulfilled the prophecy spoken by Joel and it was confirmed by the apostle Peter. We have seen that the Spirit was poured on “all flesh” that were prepared for this happening. It did not fall on everyone in Jerusalem that day.

This partial outpouring of the Spirit has been called the “former rain.” The Hebrew word translated “former rain” means “teacher of righteousness.” The Spirit moved them to teach this gospel throughout the Mediterranean world. Christ did promise us that the Spirit “shall be in you” (John 14: 17). He also promised that the Holy Spirit “shall teach you all things…” (John 14: 26). Furthermore, the Spirit “will guide you into all truth” (John 16: 13).

The Holy Spirit, teaching righteousness through the apostles, was that former rain. This has gone on for the past 2000 years. You and I know Christ because of the early apostles’ work. The beauty of this event is captured in the poetry of Hosea:

“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know Yahweh: His going forth is prepared as the morning;        And He shall come unto us as the rain, As the latter and the former rain unto the earth” (6:3).

He shall come to us as the former rain, as the teachings of righteousness. He is pouring His Spirit over our minds and hearts, and it will teach us and prepare us for the latter rain. The latter rain will fall on us at or near the “time of the end.” It will fall upon those who are prepared to bear 100-fold spiritual growth (Matt. 13:3-9; 18-23).

For the righteousness shared by the “former rain” apostles will engender growth in us to be sustained in these latter days. For they spoke of our time, the time when our exiled King returns to this earth to establish righteousness and peace and judgment in the earth. Brothers and sisters, that’s what we’re working for. We do not believe anything into existence. We just believe what Christ believes.

The latter rain will fall through the teaching of apostles and prophets that God is raising up. They will teach righteousness and the truth about our King. They will raise up many princes and princesses and Yahweh will wipe the slate of the earth clean. It is all there in the book, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, our King.

This shows that God pours from His mind His plan according to the record in heaven. He pours forth out of his Spirit, what we would call the “good” and the “bad.” We need only think about Pentecost and Him pouring out the vials of wrath. Yahweh spoke in the dream: “I will pour My Spirit upon all flesh. UPON ALL FLESH!” We see that these words are not only precious promises of personal spiritual growth, but also a dire warning of His displeasure and a subsequent cleansing of evil from the earth. Antidote for Revulsion

I need your help today–help to staunch the flow of bile coursing down into the pit of my gut.

Every child crushed, every mother shredded, every face, taut with terror, injects a torrent of tyranny screaming through the shattered hallways of my nightmare mind.

Any official word from above, a word, perhaps, that will bring solace?

I need your help today. What can you say that will bandage the wounds of this old man? or the injuries now inflicted on souls of the East and the West, now cornered in a box by a bear?

For helpless now I sit at desk, manning a pen that can only fire ink salvos into the night, while tubes of terror shatter cities. Buildings with once proud bricks, now gape with open mouth crying in dusty, rubble tones—Why?

I need your help today. The smoke is clearing. I see you there saying, And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you be not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation…”

But why must wars come to pass?

Seeds of war have been sown decades and centuries ago. And seeds will germinate and furiously grow in  the compost of hate and soulless slaughter. In that same compost, the good seed will grow in compassionate love, their tears watering the ground. Wars must come to pass.

For the time of the end is a harvest. The end of the world as we know it is harvest time, when every nation is in the field of the world and is harvesting and being harvested. The time is fast approaching for the last harvest. Those who work as his servants and loyal subjects of the King will stand with him after the harvest.

I need your help today. I need to see your smile and your eyes of peace.

That can be done, you say in a thought.  Go look in the mirror and believe that I’m looking back at you.  See? I told you that the Spirit of truth shall be in you. That time is now.”

What Is Our End Time Response?

[Note to all of my subscribers and readers: Would you help me get this to more people by hitting the “Like” button? They say that it helps us climb up the search engines. And if you feel led, please make a comment. Thank you so much.]

I often wonder why scant few young adults respond to God’s message of love. Just compare their Saturday nights numbers with their Sunday mornings. Most are not even thinking about nor seeking the hidden, spiritual things. We speak about what we think about. Hence, the masses speak of material, temporal things and not the spiritual, eternal things.

And they especially think on and speak about earthly things when all is going well. On a personal level, it is only when a person hits rock bottom that they find that they have need of a Savior to deliver them from their addictive selfish behavior. I saw it in Viet Nam. Soldiers who a few hours before were sloshing through a dangerous jungle, cursing and looking to kill their enemy, were laying in a humbled clump on our ER table, vacant eyes looking into our eyes, asking, “Am I going to make it? God, please help me.” And we would say, “Yes you will,” knowing that they probably would not.

Thinking on a national, international and global scale, it is only when nations fall crashing down upon the rocks, that a nation will cry out for deliverance. When material dreams are shattered, people and nations will seek the invisible hand of Love. For it is only God, who is Love, that will cure mankind’s sickness.

God says that He will allow the downfall of this current world system. He will shake both persons and nations from their selfish pursuits so that they may glimpse the Invisible One in all His mysterious glory. If they are blessed, they will finally see the light of His ways.

The 6th Seal Reality

The 6th seal speaks of such a catastrophic time coming to the earth. When it is opened, the whole earth will be shaken to its foundations. “And, lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth [meteors and asteroids]…And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains and the mighty men…hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand” (Rev. 6:12-17)?

They will know that it is the wrath of God. They will know that it is judgement time. The whole earth will become at this time a giant fox hole. And there are no atheists in a fox hole. Survivors worldwide will be crying to God as they see the whole economic system collapsing like the house of cards that it is. That day will be dark for mankind. But it is just the beginning of woes. The 6th seal is our sign that the Tribulation Period is about to start. How will we respond as we see that we are still on earth and not ushered away conveniently to safety? How will we respond to the “time of the end?”         Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Big Tech–Counterfeit Comforter

Big Brother is watching you and me. It is an old concept, but never more true. He knows our thoughts and desires, and he is well aware of our political, religious, educational, and economic inclinations.

Of course, we speak of Big Tech, who sprawls over the entire earth, digitally scratching the itch that humans have. That itch is to feel important and needed and appreciated, and to know that they belong.

But mankind does not know that Big Tech’s fingers scratch with silent talons, talons that tear into the subconscious minds of the vulnerable.  Through quiet machinations of the human psyche, Big Tech has become the provider of comfort.

It has almost entirely replaced the Hebrew God as mankind’s go-to savior. Feeling lonely? Turn on your electronic device. Go where you want to go. Listen to whom you want to hear. Bored? Same thing. In fact, Big Tech provides your every desire except one. It does not know the mind of the Spirit of God. It is not a Christ based endeavor. Therefore, it is “opposite of” Christ, or “instead of” Christ [Strong’s Concordance, G473: anti-]. So you extrapolate it (I John 2:22-23).

The addiction to social media has provided a counterfeit comfort. But God has promised us that He would come to us as our “Comforter” (John 14:16-18, 23-26). He would be the One who comforts and encourages us with His presence of Love, for He is love.

But, no. “All the world wondered after the beast” (Rev. 13:3). The beast at the time of the end will have the whole world marveling over its provisions to help mankind in their need to be comforted as their currencies collapse into ashes. Big Tech is the only entity that is universally filling that need today.

All of its social media platforms stand like the lesser pagan gods that each city state worshiped. Whatever itch one has, there is a lesser god to scratch it. Big Tech is the big one. But even it is made with man’s hands. It is a god that is tangible and can be turned on for instant gratification whenever the laity desires.

Nevertheless, Big Tech’s priests wield great power. They can include you in their services or excommunicate you. They then can cancel you and send you into that empty land where voices become silent echoes down the canyon of the American dream.

This is where we are at. The Hebrew God of the Holy Bible knows what is happening. In fact, He is enabling Big Tech’s power grab in hope: that a few of us would see through this electronic delusion and seek Him, the true Comforter, the Spirit of Truth. For there is no better comfort than knowing the truth about what is happening.

Just as He has scripted the world’s delusion in our past and present, He also has written the ending in our future. He will reproduce Himself in some, and they will stride forth in love. And Big Tech will fall at Christ’s return to earth to set up His kingdom, where “God shall wipe away all tears…and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying…” (Rev. 21:4). That is real comfort.   Kenneth Wayne Hancock

The Resurrection of the Dead–The Many Levels of the Fifth Doctrine of the Apostles

When someone first hears of the “resurrection of the dead,” they think of Christ’s resurrection. And rightfully so, for without His resurrection from the dead, our faith, our preaching, and our hope of eternal life are all vain and utterly of no profit. And like Paul said, if there is no resurrection, “…we are of all men most miserable.” However, Christ is alive; He is risen, and He is our only hope of immortality (I Cor. 15: 12-19).

And yet, Christ’s doctrine, The Resurrection of the Dead, which became the apostles’ doctrine, encompasses a vast array of miraculous pulsating life, from the smallest garden seed to the new heavens and a new earth that He has promised.

Belief in His resurrection opens the door to the light of His resurrection power. Belief in Him raising from the dead after three days and three nights in the tomb—that is the seed beginning of our yearning “to know Him and the power of His resurrection.” For His power commands light to spring out of darkness, creating a new heart in us where once the darkness of selfishness dwelt.

Back to 1971

I remember when I was twenty-four, I went through a life-changing experience, and Christ’s resurrection was at the center of it all. As a child I had heard many times the story of the Savior and how He rose from the dead. I had walked the aisle at ten, being swiftly baptized into that Baptist church. But later as a teen I left the church after my parents’ divorce. I surmised then that something was terribly amiss; there was no love and peace in Big D. In my tortured teenage angst, I figured that the message the church was teaching was not strong enough to hold my parents together, so I moved on.

Yet, everyone at the church had said that I was “born again,” but booze and cigarettes and Playboy magazines became my cheap little gods. I realized later that I had never risen with Him from the state of being dead in sin. By 1971 my old nature had grabbed the steering wheel of my life and was drunkenly crashing into everything. It was then that I first heard that my old sinful nature “is crucified with Christ.”  And that I am buried with Him, and by believing in His resurrection, I, too, am raised from the dead (in sin). I was raised to “walk in a newness of life.”

I had skin in the game this time. I was presenting my body as a “living sacrifice,” trusting in the power of His resurrection to sustain me in this new sinless walk of life. I had a great teacher who told me that “he that is dead is freed from sin…and in Him is no sin.”

Powerful truth is found in His word. But, first, someone’s got to stand on the wall and proclaim it in the face of the gainsayers. And then it must be believed. It is by faith in His resurrection that the surge of new life comes into our mortal bodies.

So, I went home and tried to think upon these things. But the first thought that came piercing into my mind like a sharp arrow was this: You don’t really believe that Christ was actually raised from the dead, do you?

This thought shattered me. My existence fell like shards of glass to the floor. I felt the terror of one who was hopelessly lost, rudderless, adrift in an empty sea of nihilism.

The next day I related all this to my mentor. He told me that the voice was Satan’s and that Satan knows that belief in the resurrection is the crux of the whole matter. If he gets you to doubt the resurrection, he wins, and you lose. I have not forgotten that day so many years ago. I was blessed; I had someone who loved me and helped me to overcome the first of Satan’s assaults.

From Personal to the Universal

The early apostles continued in the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead. They had the ultimate mentor, the “Author and Finisher of our faith,” Christ. He taught them that the resurrection has many levels, from the personal level on up to the universal level. Christ’s resurrection power is shown when a humble little garden seed sacrifices its identity and yields to that invisible creative power that is God, and then life bursts from that seed. Such is the word of the Spirit; such is the Seed, the Word of God, when it springs forth in our hearts.

From the personal the “resurrection of the dead” grows into a national scope. Remember how Christ was always teaching about the “lost sheep of the House of Israel”? For forty days after His resurrection, Christ taught them “the things pertaining to the kingdom of God”?  And the foremost question on their minds was this: “Lord, will you at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?” The national restoration of the lost tribes of Israel was on their minds, and they continued speaking on this theme because it was one of the main doctrines of Christ (Acts 1: 3-6). This restoration of the lost tribes of Israel is a resurrection of their nation spoken by the Spirit through the “mouth of all of His holy prophets since the world began.”

The next level of the apostles’ doctrine of the resurrection of the dead is worldwide. The earth will have gone through the Great Tribulation Period; the world system will be destroyed. The earth will have gone through a devastation that the world has never seen. The earth and its inhabitants are the walking dead by the end of this horrendous seven year period. This is when God will resurrect the whole earth through the establishment of His government and kingdom.

But there is another resurrection that takes place on a galactic scale. The Spirit speaks of a planting of the heavens. “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth…And of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end…We look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness” (Isa. 51: 16; 65: 17; Dan. 2: 44; II Pet. 3: 13). God will sow His seed, planting us with life giving power to resurrect cold dead planets, translating them into the gardens of God.

This resurrection of the universe is so grand and glorious, that my small mind struggles to taste it. It brings to mind Paul’s quote of Isaiah: “But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God” (I Cor. 2: 9-10).            Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Eating the Hidden Manna

Christ makes an exciting promise to His followers who overcome a specific shortcoming that is hindering their spiritual growth. “To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna” (Rev. 2: 14).

“Manna” appears throughout the scriptures. Manna first fell from heaven miraculously for the children of Israel in the wilderness. They called it “What is it?” because it had never happened before. They also called it the “bread from heaven.”

Christ said that the original manna was not the true bread from heaven. “The bread of God is He which comes down from heaven and gives life unto the world…I am the bread of life: he that comes to Me shall never hunger, and he that believes on Me shall never thirst” (John 6: 30-35). The manna in the wilderness was physical; the heavenly manna is spiritual.

“The Jews murmured at Him” in unbelief. The true bread from heaven was staring them in the face, and they could not see Him. The True Manna was hidden from them. For, you see, the Son of God is the “hidden manna.” He is hidden from those whose eyes only see the outward appearance. Because “seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear neither do they understand” (Matt. 13: 13). Unless God opens a person’s eyes, they will be blind to spiritual things—even though they read the same Bible and go to the same church house. Few realize that He fulfilled this scripture: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.” (Matt. 13: 35 NIV; “kept secret” in KJV).

Christ the Hidden Manna

Brothers and sisters, we are talking about the secrets of the universe being revealed! It is there for us. He has laid it all out. Christ is the hidden manna. But, What is it? The true manna from heaven consists of His purpose, His plan, His thoughts, and His dreams about His kingdom of love and joy and peace. The hidden manna is hidden only to those who cannot see. But those born from above do see and enter into His kingdom and governance (John 3: 3-6).

Christ wants to share it all with us. He wants us to eat the true bread from heaven, which is Himself. But how do we partake of the bread of life? Man’s wisdom cannot teach us these things. Man’s wisdom only sees the physical, such as the magical mystical tour of   transubstantiation. “No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden…None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” [And who are the “rulers of this age” that crucified Christ? Obviously Rome, the 4th beast world empire, and those “which say they are Judean, of Judah, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan” (Rev. 2: 9; 3: 9]. Do not trust these two rulers of this age to guide you spiritually. This is part of the overcoming.

Conversely, the “hidden wisdom” looks after the Spirit and teaches us to spiritually ingest His purpose, plan, words, thoughts, teachings, commands, doctrines, and desires. And we partake of them by believing them, which is believing Him. We take His words into our thoughts, and make our thoughts His thoughts. This is having the mind of Christ (Phil. 2: 5). It’s not a physical thing; it is spiritual. He said, “The words I speak, they are spirit and they are life.” When we believe His words and think His thoughts, then we walk in His Spirit of life; we walk as a member of His body. Christ is still asking us, “Believest thou this?” (John 11: 26).

The Overcoming

To eat of the hidden manna, one must overcome a “few things” that Christ has against us. When Christ appeared to the apostle John on the island of Patmos around 96 A.D., He laid out a series of spiritual growth expectations for His body of believers, both on a personal and corporate scale. “The Alpha and Omega” spoke to John and told him to write down these things that have happened, is happening, and will happen in the past, the present and the future (Rev. 1: 19). In chapters two and three, we see the Seven Church Ages and their requirements for each level of spiritual growth.

Whole books are needed to expound fully their content, but let us glimpse at the third one–Pergamos. Christ is speaking to individuals, church bodies, and historical church movements in His words to the overcomers. He always acknowledges the good that we have done. Then He tells us the things we are to overcome in order to grow to the next level. If we repent of that thing, then He rewards us with a spiritual truth that helps us reach the next level. And so on through the seven ages of growth.

In Pergamos Christ appreciates the walk thus far, but…“I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality…Repent…” (Rev. 2: 12-17).

Background: God in the Old Testament had human beings physically live out a life that He directed. Their physical actions in ancient times serve as types, shadows, and examples. Their actions are a spiritual template for us during the “time of the end.” In short, the false prophet Balaam was hired by the Moabite king Balak to curse the children of Israel. He could not curse what Yahweh had blessed, so Balaam taught Balak to bring on the beautiful Moabite women to seduce the Israelites to go after their false gods.

The Pergamos Overcomings for Us Today

We must overcome through repentance these things in the Pergamos growth level:

  1. Eating food sacrificed to idols. The original OT story has Israelites eating physical food that had been roasted in sacrifice to literal gods of stone and wood. Interesting. They ate food tainted by a false doctrine of worshipping idols. Spiritual application for today: Repent of false doctrines in our worship of the true God. Do not ingest false teachings about Christ. We must repent of the old leaven, the false teachings of churchianity.
  2. They literally “committed sexual immorality” with the Moabite women. To be blunt, they committed fornication with the whorish Moabite women. You may ask, How can this apply to us? The answer is found later in Revelation 17. We see “the judgement of the great whore that sits on many waters: with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication” (v. 1-2). She was richly arrayed and on her forehead was this name written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH…And the woman which you saw is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.” We know that city is Rome, whose pope crowned emperors and kings. Even the notes in the Catholic bible say that it describes Rome.

God is warning us and requiring us to repent of the false doctrines taught by the great whore, the Roman Church and her daughters. And we must “come out of her” and not  be in fellowship with others who are saturated with false teachings.

Those who repent and purge out the old false doctrines about Christ will receive a reward. The Spirit is saying this to the churches: To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone” (Rev. 2: 17).

In Summary

Christ is the hidden manna, the bread of life. The word “Christ” means the Anointed One. The Anointing is truth. Therefore, the Anointing is the Spirit of truth. Consequently, the Hidden Manna = the Spirit of Truth. And when the Spirit of Truth comes into your life, “He will guide you into all truth…for He will show you things to come” (John 16: 13).

As we eat the hidden manna, we will find that it tastes very sweet like honey at first, but afterward, it will grow bitter in the belly. The first flush of love, joy and peace is sweet, but as we grow closer to the day of the Lord’s vengeance, the bitter misery of tribulation fills the air.

But right now, let us eat of the hidden manna that He has given us.  Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Fig Tree Is the Sign of Christ’s Return–Rapture Debunked

Christ told His disciples that every stone on the temple mount in Jerusalem would be thrown down (this is still to be fulfilled, for the Wailing Wall still stands). Then they asked Him, When is this going to happen? And what shall be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the world? They asked for the sign that would tell them when it would all come down (Mt. 24: 1-3).

He then relates many prophecies as to the condition of world affairs before His return: Deceivers, wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, persecutions, betrayals, false prophets, the true gospel preached, rebuilding of the temple, the abomination of desolation, great tribulation, and false Christs all would come before His return. Then the appearance of the Son of man in heaven and  His angels gathering His elect out of the earth would take place (v. 4-31). There’s the scenario, but what is the sign that would tell His followers the right century and even the decade of His return?

The Fig Tree

Christ gave them the sign in the parable of the fig tree (v. 32). First, we must remember that parables speak of “things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world” (Mt. 13: 35). In them are hidden the mysteries of God. And there is no greater mystery than when He is coming back.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near even at the doors (Mt. 24: 32-33). The fig tree is the symbol of the nation of the Kingdom of Judah with its capital at Jerusalem (Jer. 24: 1-10). Remember that Christ had cursed the fig tree, a symbolic gesture as to the sordid spiritual condition of the Judah nation.

But in this parable, we see that the fig tree is revived; it has tender branches and is putting on leaves. Summer is very near. The fig tree of Judah became a nation again in 1948. When we see all of the aforementioned prophecies take place after 1948, then we will know that Christ’s return is soon and so is the end of the world.

How soon? Christ continues the parable. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Which generation won’t pass? The generation that is alive when the fig tree nation is revived in 1948! Somebody alive in 1948 will still be alive when all these prophecies are fulfilled. That includes Christ’s return!

He continues. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (v. 35). Which words? Keep it in context; He is speaking about the words He has just uttered about the fig tree generation, how that some people alive in 1948 will still be living when He returns!

Ironically, the next verse is totally misinterpreted. It is taken out of context, plucked out of thin air with no regard to the flow of Christ’s teaching here in Matthew 24. But of that day and hour knoweth no man…but my Father (v. 36). What day and hour? The day when heaven and earth will pass away. Only the Father knows that day. But rapture teachers holler about how no one will know when the rapture will happen. But this verse is talking about when heaven and earth shall pass away.

“But…” This conjunction signals a contrast and opposition to the sentence just before. It means “to the contrary.”  But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (v. 37). Nobody knows when heaven and earth shall pass away, but Noah knew when the flood was coming. God had told him. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights…(Gen. 7 : 4). Noah knew the exact day seven days before it happened! The “coming of the Son of man” back to this earth will be like it was in Noah’s day; God’s righteous ones will know. The masses will not.

Rapture Totally Debunked

Christ’s second coming is like the coming of the flood in Noah’s day. The flood was disastrous back then, and Christ’s second coming at first will be a disaster for the world. In Noah’s day, two groups were assembled, the righteous and the unrighteous. One group was saved. The other group was taken by the flood.

Taken. Trust me on this. We don’t want to be “taken.” They were eating and drinking…and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (Mt. 24: 38-39).

To be “taken” is a disaster. It means death in one verse: “The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away” (Job 1: 21, Job speaking of his dead children).

In lieu of all this, incredibly, the rapture teachers will use the very next verse to support their theory. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left (v. 40). Being “taken” is always disastrous in the word of God. Just consult the concordance under “taken away.” Always negative. And yet they want to be taken on a rapturous journey through the clouds.

No! It is simply not true. The above is further proof that the rapture is a false doctrine that must be repented of, if they want to grow to be like Him. Christ is coming back to earth to establish His government and peace, and He wants us to remain here and help Him in His work.

However, there is a destination for those who are “taken away” in these last days. Christ said, “And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matt. 25: 14-30, from the Parable of the Talents). Oh, the heartache for some, who heard the word of truth, but did not receive it nor believe it. Nor did they grow it, but rather they held on to false doctrines that yielded no fruit. Brothers and sisters, please don’t reject this teaching without slowly and openheartedly studying this out to see if this agrees with the scriptures.   Kenneth Wayne Hancock

Why Must the Righteous Suffer?

For Christ our King, it is all about His kingdom, which is the new government of God that He will set up worldwide after the Great Tribulation Period ravages the earth. Right now, He has established a beach head in the hearts of His followers, and they are sprinkled to the four corners of the earth. Their hearts hold a portion of His Spirit, and He reigns there in that soft citadel.

Moreover, Christ’s followers are growing, applying His teachings, waiting for the culmination of this current world age. They are the “children of the kingdom” growing up into mature wheat, as the wicked tares grow also (Matt. 13: 24-30, 37-43). But they are growing up in a savage landscape, fraught with fear and suffering.

And so, many have often wondered, If the God of peace and love is in                       control, then why all the suffering in the earth? Why does He allow mankind to suffer through thousands of years of man-ruling-over-man? Man’s overlords have financed brutal armies clashing on blood-soaked fields next to villages and towns and grand cities razed and burned to the ground, spawning enslavement, rape, and pillage for the few survivors.

Why? Why does the great merciful Hebrew God Yahweh allow all this? Why didn’t He just create us as mild-mannered righteous beings, incapable of making mistakes, placed in a world that never posed a trial or temptation? Why all the misery?

Short Answer

To accomplish His purpose of reproducing Himself (“God is Love”), mankind would have to suffer the fires of physical and spiritual affliction to purify within himself a spirit unto honor and love and gratefulness.

Let’s just call the condition of man-governing-man over the last 6,000 years for what it is. It is sin. It doesn’t matter which man or group of men rules, they are creatures of sin, which is the breaking of the Ten Commandments (I John 3: 4). And sin is rooted in the old Adamic nature that does not love God or his neighbor.

For instance, let us take Russia’s last 200 years. The Romanov family’s empire ruled over the people, keeping them in serfdom and deprivation. There was no love there. Sinful selfishness ruled. In 1917 the Russian revolution was commandeered by the Communist Party by lying to the people, saying that it was a dictatorship of the proletariat. In reality, three per cent of the population that were Communists would brutally rule, causing starvation, genocide, and famine for tens of millions.

When old man Adam rules other men, sinful atrocities abound, created by the innate selfish nature of unregenerate man. The same holds true for all manmade governments down through history. And it will only change when the Head of State is righteous. And this righteous and just government will only be established if the righteous Head of State has a cadre of righteous administrators who will carry out the King’s plan.

The Bible paints this final scenario like this. The Son of God, Jesus/Yahshua, will come back to Jerusalem and will meet the over comers. These are the first fruits, the 100 folders, the first group of Christians that will have grown to full maturity with Christ’s Spirit fully developed within them.

Christ will send these ambassadors out into the earth to establish His Kingdom of righteousness. They will stride forth into the four corners of the earth doing the greater works that Christ promised they would do (John 14: 12). No weapon formed against them by the survivors on earth during the 1,000 year reign of Christ will prosper, for they will have been changed from mortal to immortal. Their bodies will no longer be composed of moist dust, but spirit. For at Christ’s return, they will receive a new spiritual body, immortal and imperishable. Such is the apostle’s doctrine called “the resurrection of the dead” (Isa. 54: 17; I Cor. 15: 42-57).

Christ will regather a remnant of His Lost Sheep of the House of Israel, setting up His government. And of this “government and peace there shall be no end,” and He shall “establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever.” Here we find another of the apostles’ doctrine—eternal judgment. Throughout eternity righteousness shall reign through Christ’s judgments (Isa. 9: 7).

Christ’s return and the restoration of His kingdom/government will end the present corrupt world age headed by greedy rich men who pull the strings behind the curtain of lies out there. The politicians are their puppets, doing their bidding. This evil system that chains men down in the gutters will be judged and destroyed at Christ’s coming.

By enduring the sufferings, our hearts and minds are being prepared by God to be worthy princes and princesses in His Kingdom. It takes fire to forge the sword of the Spirit within us. That is the “fellowship of His sufferings” that we endure with our King (Phil. 3: 10). For “if we suffer, we shall also reign with Him” (II Tim. 2: 12).    Kenneth Wayne Hancock
